The SADGA’s Western Province First Swing Program received a financial boost after Western Province Golf donated R20 000 to the program.
As golf unions around the country have started to find their feet again following the Covid-19 lockdown, they have reaffirmed their commitment to disabled golf. Western Province Golf’s donation comes just a short while after the KZN Golf Union provided funding to the association.
The R20 000 donation is over and above the monthly contribution of R6 500 provided by Western Province Golf.
SADGA Executive Director Craig Moorgas said the funding will help the SADGA continue to develop the golfing talent in the region.
“The support of the provincial golf unions enable us to provide our players with the resources and opportunities necessary to both enjoy their golf and also excel in the competitive sphere,” said Moorgas.
“These funds will help us continue to harness the immense potential that lies within the First Swing Program in the Western Province.
“On behalf of the SADGA, I’d just like to say thank you to Western Province Golf for the donation and for their support of the SADGA over the past 15 years.”
