We had three four balls play in the provincial day this Sunday. One of elite deaf players, Ayakha, played in the competition. Ayakha displayed exceptional behavior and etiquette despite not playing his best golf. He shot 22 points total on the day. In first place was Sean Lottering with 37 points, Greg De Donker came second with 36 points and George Howard in third with 36 points on a count out. Due to rain my fourball was only able to play nine holes.
We expect greater numbers going forward as a number of people have shown interest in future provincial days as well as disabled golf players. The dates for the year have been sent out and players have diarized accordingly.
Prizes for the day were kindly donated by Golfers club Port Elizabeth. George Howard and Greg De Donker donated their prizes back to the program. The next provincial day will be taking place on the 17th of March.
