July’s installment of the SADGA provincial day at Port Elizabeth Golf Club was a great success, the weather could not have been better and the course was in great condition. Our Elite deaf boy’s carried themselves exceptionally well throughout the day, show casing what great ambassadors they have become for SADGA through the program.
The golf they both played was surprisingly good considering the long holiday break they had. Ushel Manel shot 102 off a 30 handicap giving him a net score of 72, which helped him and his partner Ferdinand Roth take second place, scoring 40 points in the betterball stableford competition. Ayakha Mdali shot 114 off a 36 handicap giving him a net score of 78. Not a bad performance either.
Well done to Erin Brinkman and Kayla Bosch for winning the Eastern Cape SADGA provincial day for the second consecutive time with a betterball score of 41 points. These girls are proving hard to compete with. Great performance ladies!
