Thank you Shelvin Kraemer for this final report on the KZN Provincial Days

We had a decent size field of 11 players for our final KZN PD game for the year on course 2 at Mt Edgecombe on Saturday morning. Rupert unfortunately had to pull out at the last minute due to the development of a pressure sore on his leg.
Never the less, we had 7 SADGA members and 4 guests play and enjoy the day and festivities afterwards. The course was in immaculate condition and the guys all thoroughly enjoyed it, although we did all take a bit of strain in the heat and humidity on the day.

I split the guys into two four balls and one three ball as we only had 11 players.
The teams were as follows:
Emil and Luke with their dads Bryan & David
Shelvin and Andrew with Marc & Kyle
Ian and Sebastian with Sandile
Bryan was kind enough to sponsor some extra prizes which we awarded to the teams based on first second and third place. We calculated the team scores by adding the two disabled players scores together with the best able bodied score from their group.
The team prizes were awarded as follows:
First place to Emil and Luke with their dads Bryan & David on 82 points.
second place to Ian and Sebastian with Sandile on 62 points.
Third place to Shelvin and Andrew with Marc & Kyle on 60 points.
The guys were all very excited at the fact that we all got prizes for the day and were overwhelmed by Bryan’s generosity once again.
The individual prizes were awarded as follows:
1. Luke with 24 points and a gross of 105.
2. Emil with 24 points and a gross of 108.
3. Andrew with 20 points and a gross of 98
The guys were all very excited to stay for the prize giving and lunch etc which we had at the clubhouse after the game, and a great time was had by all. The guys were really thankful that you offered to cover our lunches and all asked me to thank you again for being so kind.
The SADGA members all received their NLC sleeve of balls before the game and were very happy to be spoilt again. I then wanted to thank all our sponsors for all the prizes and gifts as well as for helping make our golf affordable by subsidizing our rounds, we really do appreciate everything that the sponsors and SADGA do for us.
The biggest thanks goes to you and your team for helping arrange everything and for taking such good care of us. Please send everybody at SADGA and KZN Golf Union a big thank you and best wishes for Xmas and the new year from everybody here in KZN.
