The All Abilities Golf Tour Presented By SADGA, launched an exciting inaugural schedule with as many as 10 events slated for 2024.
The action kicks off in the last week of February with the Country Club Johannesburg Disabled Golf Open taking place on the 26th and 27th of February. The country’s disabled golfers then return to the lovely Ebotse Links the very next week, vying for the respective titles on the 4th and 5th of March.
The structure of the schedule allows players to get into a competitive groove with at least one event scheduled each month from February-September before an October break precedes the always-popular Cape Town Disabled Golf Open hosted by The City of Cape Town at King David Mowbray Golf Club.
Not only is the 2024 AAGT more robust than the SADGA Open Series schedules of years past, it is set to feature a host of fantastic new courses for the first time such as Steyn City, Zimbali Golf Estate and Serengetti Golf & Wildlife Estate which have all hosted Sunshine Tour events in the past.
SADGA Business Development & Sponsorship Manager David Watts thanked the various host venues for not only hosting the events but for their buy-in to the AAGT vision.
“The groundbreaking first season of the All Abilities Golf Tour promises a host of fantastic competitive golf opportunities for golfers with a disability from South Africa and abroad and the courses we’ve been fortunate to secure are sure to be enjoyable tests of the players’ skill sets,” said Watts.
“I speak on behalf of everyone at the SADGA when I say I am incredibly grateful to all of the host courses for not just accommodating us but buying into the All Abilities Golf Tour concept and affording our golfers the opportunity to demonstrate their talent for the game on layouts that will pose vastly different challenges.”
