SADGA and Canon South Africa welcomes SA Disabled Golf Open Champion Daniël Slabbert to the Canon SA Disabled Golf Open 2018 at Magalies Park

 
Daniel is no stranger to the SA Disabled Golf Open. He was the Overall Champion in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015.
When Daniel was fourteen years old , he was jumping on a trampoline alongside the family farmhouse in the Northern Cape when he landed slightly off balance. This shot him towards a small window and his left leg went through the window. After a traumatic trip to Kathu, Kuruman and then Kimberley, his leg was amputated through his left knee.

Daniel finished his studies at the University of Pretoria’s High Performance Centre and then joined Midstream O’Brien Golf specializing in professional coaching where he is currently still working.
