Pretoria School for the Cerebral Palsied opening of its indoor modified golf environment took place

This project was sponsored by NOMADs in their Furtherance of Golf Program.
At the opening, the children were treated to a road show with the different stations focusing on therapeutic exercise while teaching them the basic life skills that golf brings through the animals on the walls – Honesty, Mathematics, Integrity, Having fun, Good Sportsmanship, Fun, Saying Hello etc
We were lucky enough to have SADGA member Nico Schmulian helping out at the opening.
Six of these Pretoria School children will qualify for the Canon South Africa Interschools which will take place at Zwartkop Country Club on the 30th August.

We are ever grateful for our wonderful Volkswagen partnership as the driving partner of the SADGA. Our Caddy was piled high with all the equipment that we had to transport to the school.
The NOMADs have also paid for Golf Nets to be put up at the Siswela School for the deaf in Soweto. Last year 3 golfers from this school qualified as Rookies at the Canon South Africa FSP Deaf Junior Interprovincials. There are close to 100 children that take part in the FSP at this school and we are expecting some great results from them.
Thanks to Chantalely for her awesome painting on the walls and to our wonderful coaches Andrew Corthing and Carmia Van Wyk.
