The South African Disabled Golf Association wishes to thank the Gauteng North Golf Union for sponsoring the SADGA team participating in the ongoing Gauteng North Handicap League.
Beyond just the physical challenges they face, one of the most significant hurdles our golfers have to overcome is the cost associated with playing the game.
Fortunately for the team members, such concerns have been put to bed thanks to the generosity of Gauteng North. The union has very kindly offered to cover the team’s green fees and cart hiring expenses.
SADGA Executive Director Craig Moorgas remarked that the sponsorship will free the golfers up to focus on their golf and thanked the union for their support.
“The players are incredibly grateful to Gauteng North Golf Union for their willingness to assist them,” said Moorgas.
“Participating in the Handicap League affords all the players invaluable competitive experience and now they have been freed up to focus solely on their matches without any other distractions which is fantastic.”
The team has already left their mark on the Handicap League season after earning a 2-2 draw against the formidable Irene Country Club in their first outing.
“Everyone at the SADGA is humbled by the union’s support and we are confident that the players will repay the faith shown in them through their performances in the remaining fixtures.”
The team’s next fixture is against Pebble Rock Golf Club on the 21st of February.
