Connor Lourens Named SADGA Development Manager

The South African Disabled Golf Association is thrilled to announce Connor Lourens as its new Development Manager.

Connor brings a wealth of experience to the role having worked on the event-coordination teams at a number of Sunshine and European Tour tournaments – among them the Nedbank Golf Challenge, the Open De France and South African Open.

In his role as Development Manager, Connor will work closely with the SADGA coaches to ensure that they deliver the best possible service to the association’s membership and help them realise their potential.

SADGA Chairman Enver Hassen expressed his delight at Connor’s appointment, remarking that he’ll be a tremendous asset to the SADGA.

“In Connor Lourens we have an extremely driven young man who – through his vast experience in event coordination and personnel management – will help the SADGA elevate our First Swing Program offering to new heights,” commented Hassen.

“Connor will no doubt be a tremendous asset to the SADGA and the Board of Directors wish him well in his new role.”

Connor said he is thrilled to be joining the SADGA team and is eager to ensure the continued growth of the association.

“I’d like to extend a sincere thank you to the SADGA Board of Directors and Operations Manager Lily Reich for affording me this opportunity,” he remarked.

“While I have worked in golf for a few years, the role of SADGA Development Manager poses an exciting new challenge for me.

“The SADGA does so much good for disabled persons in our country and I look forward to working with our group of coaches to ensure that it continues to go from strength to strength,” he concluded.
