City of Cape Town Lends Support To Cape Town Disabled Open

 
Cape Town, 25 September 2021: The South African Disabled Golf Association is thrilled to announce the City of Cape Town as the official hosts of the Cape Town Disabled Open taking place at King David Mowbray Golf Club.
 
The Cape Town Disabled Open hosted by the City of Cape Town is the second event on the Canon Open Series schedule and gives the best disabled golf talent in the country an opportunity to test their skills against one another.
 
The decision by The City of Cape Town to lend its support will certainly contribute to what is sure to be a memorable event. 
 
SADGA Executive Director Craig Moorgas offered his thanks to Executive Mayor Dan Plato and the City of Cape Town on behalf of the association. 
 
“The City of Cape Town has been a fantastic supporter of competitive golf in Cape Town for a few years now and on behalf of the SADGA I’d like to thank Executive Mayor Dan Plato and the City of Cape Town for deeming the Cape Town Disabled Open a worthy recipient of their considerable support,” said Moorgas. 
 
“It is a great thrill for our members to play competitive golf against one another and it is the contribution of entities like the City of Cape Town that make these events possible.”
 
Moorgas said the competitors and organizers alike are chomping at the bit to get the event underway. 
 
“Everyone involved from the players to the organisers are chomping at the bit to get underway and showcase the considerable golfing talent we have within our association,” he concluded.
 
Executive Mayor Plato remarked that the City of Cape Town is thrilled to be aligned with an event which offers disabled individuals the opportunity to showcase their abilities.
 
“The City of Cape Town’s partnership with SADGA goes back a number of years and we are really thrilled to continue to support the Cape Town Disabled Open. This event puts golf on the centre stage and continues to be a platform that raises awareness about the capabilities of people with disabilities. The City of Cape Town is looking forward to welcoming the competitors to our beautiful city,” said Cape Town Executive Mayor Dan Plato.
 
The Cape Town Disabled Open hosted by the City of Cape Town gets underway on Sunday the 26th of September.
