Central Gauteng make generous donations to the SADGA

The Central Gauteng Golf Union has generously donated R78 000 to the First Swing Program along with caps and shirts for next year’s Canon SA Disabled Open.

The outpouring of support the SADGA has received from golf unions all around the country since the resumption of golf has been heartwarming and greatly appreciated.

This latest contribution will help sustain our First Swing Programs at both Sizwele and St Vincent schools respectively in 2021. Moreover, it will benefit the Gogos group in Soweto- a fantastic weekly session open to female disabled golfers, able-bodied golfers, senior golfers and ex-FSP golfers alike.

The apparel for the Canon SA Disabled Golf Open meanwhile ensures that the Central Gauteng representatives will look the part throughout the event.

SADGA Executive Director Craig Moorgas extended a sincere thank you to the union for their significant contribution.

“This fantastic display of generosity by the Central Gauteng Golf Union will go a long way to ensuring that disabled golf in the region will run smoothly and successfully in 2021,” commented Moorgas.

“On behalf of the SADGA, I’d just like to thank the Central Gauteng Golf Union for playing their part in positively impacting disabled golf in South Africa.”
